South families - Please join us for Family STEAM Night* on Thursday, September 26 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.!
Below is a sneak peek of all the fun you'll have by grade level!
*Students must be accompanied by an adult.
- Kindergarten: Maker Space Creation Lab; Build and Test a Bridge for a Gingerbread Man
- 1st Grade: Make Oobleck; Make 3-D Solids With Candy; Create Pattern Block Pictures
- 2nd Grade: Test and Measure FORCE With Your Own Marshmallow Shooter; Make a Basket and Test its Strength; 12 Circles Challenge
- 3rd Grade: Skittle Fractions; Paper Chain Challenge; Hoop Gliders
- 4th Grade: Shark Virtual Reality; Rainbow Marshmallow Fractions; Build Your Own House of Cards
- 5th Grade: Binary Coding Bracelet; Pasta Towers; Pumpkin Chair Challenge
- All grades will get to enjoy Maker Space activities and Robotic STEM activities.
- All students will get to roast a marshmallow and make a S'more. Fairfield Firefighters will also be on-site to help with the S'mores.
- All students who attend will receive 4 PBIS Rewards Points!
School Fees
School fees for Grades 1, 2, 3, 5 are $60.00, Grade 4 are $ 66.00 and Kindergarten school fees are $40.00. You may pay school fees online at www.fairfieldcityschools.com using MasterCard or Visa. Click on the PaySchools Central Link or you may pay with cash, money order, or check payable to South Elementary. Fees are due Friday, Sept. 27.
