2024-2025 BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH is SATURDAY, AUGUST 3!
The Back-to-School Bash is on Saturday, August 3! The event, hosted by the FCSD Community Diversity Alliance, will again be at Crossroads Middle School from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. It offers backpacks, school supplies, refreshments, and much more - ALL FREE - thanks to the generosity of our community partners. Please note: Your child must be present to receive a backpack and school supplies.For the third straight year, student-athletes and coaches will provide hands-on fun with stations for Bash-goers to try. Activities will take place in Fairfield Alumni Stadium.
Again this year, a registry has been created on Amazon for anyone to browse school items and make purchases that will go directly to the Bash's backpack/school supply giveaway. All items will be automatically shipped to the FCSD Administration Building for storage until a few days before the Bash.

Staggered Start to Kick Off the New School Year in the Fairfield City Schools
For planning purposes, we want to make you aware of a new process for the start of the 2024-2025 school year for all students in preschool through 12th grade.
- Only preschool through 12th-grade students with last names beginning with letters A-L will start the 2024-25 school year on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
- Only kindergarten through 12th-grade students with last names beginning with letters M-Z will start the school year on Friday, August 9, 2024.
- Preschool students with last names beginning with letters M-Z will start the school year on Monday, August 12, 2024.
- All students in grades kindergarten through 12th will attend on Monday, August 12, 2024.
- ALL preschool students will attend on Tuesday, August 13.
We believe this process will result in a more seamless start to the school year and allow time for questions and troubleshooting in smaller numbers.
Parents/guardians of students in blended families, with special circumstances, or who have questions should contact the front office of the school their child is attending in the fall.
