Greetings!
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year!
About me: I am a graduate of Fairfield High School, a former Choralier, Thespian and Tri M member. I attended Lee University, graduating with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and Secondary Education. I have taught in Tennessee, Georgia, Minnesota, and now Ohio. I have experience teaching science to all ages from toddlers to adults and have worked in varied settings including public schools, home school co-ops, private tutoring, museums, community centers, and entertainment venues. I received my ISTE certification in 2019 and completed my M.Ed. in Educational Technology through Miami University in December 2020. I also serve as a SECO board member for District 9 (includes Butler County).
My current position is Secondary Instructional Specialist. My expertise is in technology, data, and science instruction. I have the honor of assisting teachers with what they do best - instruct and assess to meet the needs of all students in their classrooms. I love being able to serve teachers and students in this way!
Outside of education, I am a wife and mother, life-long learner, singer, thespian, nature lover, tech geek, and science fiction/fantasy nerd (an avid Whovian, Browncoat, Tolkienophile, Trekkie, Potterhead, Narnian, and Jedi Wannabe).
