Welcome to my web page.  I will be putting using Google Classroom for assignments and announcements for the 2021-2022 school year; it will be your responsibility to check your Google Classroom and email daily to see if you have any online assignments.  If you are absent for the day it will be up to you to look their for any missing notes or assignments you may have missed for the day.  Please feel free to come to me if you have any questions.  I am here before school and after and I'm more than happy to meet with you to make sure you understand the class content.  I do not always know if you do not understand something - please ask questions when you have them.

Extra Credit Opportunities

All of these opportunities need to be signed off by a parent / guardian with a small reflection of what you did.
  1. make a meal for your family and do the dishes afterwards
  2. sit down with your family and have a conversation about the Cold War or something else historical 
  3. clean without being asked 
  4. do something kind for someone else
  5. research ways to improve your study skills
  6. learn something new
  7. seek to understand someone's point of view that is different than yours
  8. help someone without being asked
  9. write a letter to someone you know and mail it to them - tell them something you have learned
  10. name a flaw you have and how are you going to work on it
  11. name 10 things you are proud of yourself for or about 
  12. do a chore that you try to get out of - without being asked
  13. draw a picture about something you are learning and send it to me - I will update the website regularly with your works of art :)
  14. go outside and make a green space pretty
  15. volunteer to help someone in your community 
  16. watch a sunrise and a sunset in the same day and take a picture of each and send them to me
  17. your choice on how to make your world a better place

permission form

Please have a parent or guardian sign the permission slip to be able to watch films in class.  The paper needs to be signed even if you are not allowed to watch a film.  If a form is not turned in you will have an alternative assignment.
